1. Introduction & Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
The Service is provided to support students working on Extended Project Qualifications (EPQ), Higher Project Qualifications (HPQ), Bronze CREST Awards, and GCSE and A-Level subjects, and to assist teaching staff in monitoring and supporting those students.
2. Eligibility & Accounts
The Service is intended for students and staff of participating schools. Access is restricted to email addresses on an approved allow-list maintained by the school's administrators.
You must provide accurate and complete information when registering. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account.
Accounts are personal and must not be shared. If you become aware of any unauthorised use of your account, you must notify the school's administrators immediately.
3. The AI Assessment Service
The Service uses artificial intelligence to produce indicative marks, grade estimates, and written feedback on submitted project work, based on published qualification rubrics.
For GCSE and A-Level subjects, the Service reads typed or handwritten answers and marks them against the relevant exam board's mark scheme and assessment objectives, producing a confidence score and flagging low-confidence or hard-to-read work for teacher review.
Teachers may import class lists from Google Classroom exports and use the teacher view to track the progress of students in their assigned classes. Class-wide reporting in the admin panel summarises average grades, XP rankings, and flagged submissions per class group. Teachers also receive an automated weekly email summarising their classes' performance, sent via the platform's connected email account. Teachers can filter all projects by qualification (GCSE, A-Level, EPQ, HPQ or Bronze CREST), select multiple projects at once to update milestone statuses or send the same feedback in bulk, and use a rubric criteria picker to generate consistent, criteria-based feedback aligned to the official assessment objectives.
Students can upload project files — essays, reports, presentations and photos of handwritten work — to their personal folder and link them to specific projects for teacher review. The platform is fully responsive on phones and tablets, with a scrollable bottom navigation that gives access to every feature, and a device override in Settings that lets users force a mobile, tablet or desktop layout.
A built-in plagiarism and originality checker is available to all users — students and teachers — directly in their dashboard. Users paste any text and the AI flags potential plagiarism, unoriginal phrasing, and AI-generated content, providing an originality score, flagged passages with likely sources, and actionable recommendations. A global search bar on the teacher dashboard lets staff find any student or project by name, email, or qualification type in seconds. A visual progress summary shows students their overall project progress, milestone completion status, and grade trends using progress bars and charts.
The Service also includes personal study tools: per-subject revision checklists (to which students may add their own tasks), premade and AI-generated flashcards for revision, a personal Docs area for notes and drafts, and class join codes so students can self-enrol into their teacher's classes. Teachers can send messages and optional file attachments to an entire class at once, delivered to each student's folder. Students earn XP from their grades and unlock achievement awards with optional time-limited events, and receive a curated daily study tip once per day. Administrators have access to a student progress overview table showing each student's current grade and project milestone, a library of pre-written feedback snippets for quick student notes, and CSV export tools for full reports and account lists. The Admin Excel can rebrand the platform — including the school name, colours, footer credit text and email domain — from a dedicated branding dashboard. A Kanban pipeline board lets teachers drag and drop student projects between status columns, with automated student notifications sent instantly whenever a project's status or moderation changes. A drag-and-drop trifold pamphlet editor allows custom marketing materials to be designed and exported to Word or PowerPoint. Staff email accounts whose local part begins with 'staff' are automatically granted normal admin access on sign-in.
Teachers can mark multiple exam papers in bulk — photographing or uploading several at once, with direct camera capture built into the bulk marking panel. Each paper is transcribed, marked against the correct mark scheme, and the results can be edited, assigned to a class, and exported as CSV. An 'Any Paper' qualification is available for any internal school assessment that does not fit the standard qualifications. The moderation dashboard provides full control over the moderation queue — teachers can permanently delete individual projects or reset all moderation overrides back to unreviewed in a single click. Students can sign in using email and password, with verification emails sent automatically from a no-reply sender address, alongside the existing username-based login system.
AI-generated feedback is indicative only and does not constitute an official grade, a formal moderator's decision, or a guarantee of any outcome. Final grades are determined solely by the relevant awarding body (e.g. AQA, the British Science Association).
You must not rely solely on AI feedback when preparing your final submission. Always follow the guidance of your teacher or supervisor.
4. Data We Collect & Lawful Basis (GDPR)
Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, we act as a data controller for the personal data you provide.
We collect: your email address and name (as provided by your school account); project submissions including uploaded files and pasted text; AI-generated marks and feedback; and limited usage data such as sign-in times.
Our lawful bases for processing are: (a) performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the school; (b) legitimate interests in providing and improving the educational Service; and (c) your consent where explicitly given (e.g. optional features).
We do not process special category data beyond what you voluntarily include within your submitted project work.
5. How We Use & Share Your Data
Your data is used to provide the assessment Service, to display your progress in your personal folder, to populate anonymised leaderboards, and to allow authorised teaching staff to view and support your work.
Project submissions may be processed by third-party AI providers solely for the purpose of generating feedback. We select providers that offer appropriate safeguards, but you should avoid including unnecessary sensitive personal information in your submissions.
We do not sell your personal data. Data is shared only with: (a) your school's authorised administrators and teachers; (b) service providers necessary to operate the platform; and (c) authorities where required by law.
6. Data Retention & Your Rights
We retain your account and project data for the duration of your studies and for a reasonable period afterwards to support appeals and quality assurance, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
Under UK GDPR you have the right to: access your personal data; rectify inaccurate data; erase your data (subject to legal exceptions); restrict or object to processing; and data portability.
To exercise any of these rights, contact your school's administrators or the data contact provided by your school. Banned accounts have their associated data permanently deleted.
7. Acceptable Use & Misuse
You agree to use the Service lawfully and respectfully. You must not submit content that is unlawful, harmful, offensive, or infringes the rights of others; attempt to disrupt or compromise the Service; or share your account.
Administrators may permanently ban users who misuse the platform. Banning deletes the user's data and blocks the associated email from rejoining. A permanent audit log records every ban.
We may suspend or withdraw access at any time to protect the integrity of the Service or the wider school community.
8. Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of the project work you submit. By submitting, you grant us a limited licence to process your work solely to provide the assessment Service and to display results back to you and authorised staff.
9. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for any loss or damage arising from reliance on AI-generated feedback or from temporary unavailability of the Service.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the platform or via your school. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Contact
For questions about these Terms, data protection, or the Service generally, please contact your school's administrators in the first instance, or Aarav Parakh at ap.aiparakh@gmail.com.
